Self, life is hard. Get over it.
You will probably never have that perfect body you’ve dreamed of. But… you have a good body. You have a healthy body. You have a body that can do so much! Here’s the thing, though. You will have to work every day of your life to keep it healthy. You will have to make sacrifices and pull yourself away from things that call your name, like reading and writing and crafting and movies. Not all the time! Just a little time – but a little time each day. The importance of staying active is never going to go away. Your body will always need it. Your bones and muscles will always remind you that you need to move. You enjoy being active, you knucklehead, so stop making excuses. Stop telling yourself that you’ll start tomorrow. There is no tomorrow. Tomorrow always becomes today. So start today.
Oh, and another thing? Fake food is never going to go away either. There will always be Coke Zero and cheezits and chocolate and pastries. You will have to decide every day of your life what you are going to put into your body. Till the day you die, you will have to make choices. Get over it. You like eating healthy, so just do it! Enjoy a treat now and then, and stop whining. Stop pretending like fake food is going to disappear, and that you have to eat it all before it does. Stop making excuses. Stop telling yourself that you’ll start eating well tomorrow. There is no tomorrow. Tomorrow always becomes today. So start today.
