Day 17 – 132 lbs – 500 Calorie Day. I ate an apple yesterday. 1/2 before my workout and 1/2 after. Then I ate junk. That’s all. Just junk. Not tons and tons of it, but that was all I ate. That’s pathetic! And then I woke up this morning and I am a pound down? None of this makes sense. Now, I will say that I didn’t feel very good yesterday, but I wasn’t hungry either. How I lost a pound is beyond me. I am pretty sure that because it was the wrong kind of calories, there was no nutritional value there, and had I put weight on, it would have been in all the wrong places. I just had an “I don’t care” attitude yesterday, as I do most days. haha. I kind of feel like eating well today. Actually, I have a meeting tonight where we will be having a layered salad with corn, black beans, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, olives, cheese, bbq chicken and dressing. It is a really nutritious meal, actually. I’m thinking that I might save all my calories for tonight and just have a small portion there – maybe leave out the cheese and dressing, and add some hot sauce instead.
If I drop another pound by tomorrow, I will feel like I have learned the secret to the system. Not the HCG system, but the eating for life system. Just eat what you want, but limit the number of calories you put into your body. If you choose to take your calories in through junk, then that’s all you get. There is definitely a trade-off. You can eat more if you eat healthier, but you don’t get to each much of anything if you just eat junk. And remember that the bad calories don’t give you energy for more than 20-30 minutes.
2 kids have stomach flu right now and I’m nervous that we might not be going to Disneyland. It will be very sad for them, but somewhat of a relief for me. We’ll know in the next couple of days. If everyone is not completely cleared up by tomorrow night, I might vote to call the trip off. It would be miserable to be there and be sick! The kids are really wiped out and have no appetites. They are sleeping a lot and throwing up what they eat. Yeah, you can’t take kids to Disneyland like that. The rest of us are deperately trying to stear clear of the bug!
